FAQ
Will it fit my pool?
In-ground and above-ground both work. Vinyl, fibreglass and concrete all work. The only thing we check on the visit is your return aimflow — if it's a non-standard size or a slanted return, we have alternative fittings.
Will it work with my pool cleaner?
Yes. The PoolSkim handles the surface. Your suction cleaner (Dolphin, Blue Diamond, Polaris, Kreepy etc.) handles the floor and walls. They run at the same time without interfering with each other.
How often do I empty the bag?
Normal pool, normal week: once. After storms, wind days, or garden cleaning: more often. The bag is designed so circulation continues even when it's full — so you empty when convenient, not when you must.
Does it need electricity?
No. The PoolSkim has zero electrical components. It runs purely off your pump's return flow. Your electricity bill is unaffected.
How long does it last?
There are no moving parts to wear out. The polyurethane body is UV-stable. The mesh bag is the only consumable, and it's washable — we don't expect you'll need to replace it for years.
Is it ugly in the pool?
It floats on the surface, white finish, low-profile. Most clients stop noticing it within a day. Far less obtrusive than a robotic skimmer with cables.
What's the warranty?
Manufacturer warranty applies to the product. Our installation labour is guaranteed for 30 days — if the fitting comes loose or the venturi isn't drawing properly, we come back and adjust at no charge.
What if my return flow isn't strong enough?
We check on the install visit. If your pump genuinely can't generate enough return pressure (rare on residential pools), we'll tell you upfront and you can choose not to proceed — no charge for the visit if we can't install.

We quote you
Most jobs we can quote straight from your photos at no charge. If a job needs a technician to come and look first, that is a R450 call out, and it comes off your invoice the moment you go ahead.
We book you in
Once you accept the quote we schedule the work, usually within 1 to 2 working days depending on the diary.
We do the work
Your job is handled by our own team, James, Ishmael and Lucious. You do not have to be home, we just need access to the pool and equipment, though we prefer you there so we can hand over properly.
